Ph.D. Hugo Fernando Murcia │ Volcanology

I am Geologist from the Universidad de Caldas (Colombia), MSc in Earth Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (México) and PhD in Geology from the University of Auckland (New Zealand). My main interests are in volcanology and petrology, although I work on several other topics that concern my colleagues. Currently, I am professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the Universidad de Caldas, take part in the Research Group on Stratigraphy and Volcanology (GIEV) Cumanday, and lead the Volcanology and Petrology research group at the Institute. I am also part of the Scientific committee of the Institute and i coordinate the Curso internacional de Vulcanología de Campo (http://curvolcolombia.wordpress.com/(link is external)).
