M.Sc. Monica L. Duque Castaño │ Biostratigraphy & Paleoclimatology

I am Geologist from the Universidad de Caldas (Colombia), MSc in Physical, Chemical and Geological Oceanography, from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande (Brazil). My main interests are biostratigraphy and paleoclimatology, using Cenozoic planktonic foraminifera. My current research project involves the micropaleontological and isotopic analysis of wells drilled in the Caribbean basin, to understand the paleoclimatic changes and variations in sea level during the Late Quaternary. I currently belong to the foraminifera group of this institute, and I am a member of the Research Group on Stratigraphy and Volcanology (GIEV) Cumanday
