I hold a PhD in geology from the University of Florida (USA). My main interests are focused on the tectonic evolution of the Northern Andes, creation and destruction of continental crust in convergent margins, and the coevolution of rock massifs and sedimentary basins. In order to study such processes, I use a multi tool approach including whole rock geochemistry, isotopic geochemistry and thermo-geochronology.
Currently, I hold a postdoctoral position at the Instituto de Investigaciones en Estratigrafía IIES, Universidad de Caldas (Manizales, Colombia) and I am a member of the Grupo de Investigación en Estratigrafía y Vulcanología (GIEV) Cumanday.
